Project Description
Access to clean water and adequate sanitation is essential to community health and dignity. Africa Human Aid implements WASH programs to bring safe drinking water and improve sanitation infrastructure in underserved areas. We construct and rehabilitate wells, boreholes, and latrines in schools and communities. Hygiene education is provided to promote practices such as handwashing, safe water storage, and menstrual hygiene management. These initiatives help prevent waterborne diseases and reduce the health burden on families, especially children and women. We also train community members on water conservation and maintenance of water systems for long-term sustainability. Special attention is given to schools and health centers to create healthy learning and healing environments. Our approach is participatory—engaging communities in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of WASH activities. We work closely with local governments and water experts to ensure quality and sustainability. WASH is not just a health issue—it’s a human rights issue. By improving water and sanitation, we enhance community resilience and well-being.
